Okay so both status.cloud.google.com and console.cloud.google.com load better (by which I mean: at all) via Tor than directly via this wifi network. Something is amiss with their filtering.

Lol so Cloud's built-in ssh won't work with Tor Browser, but I was able to add a new ssh key so I could ssh natively. And the ssh session is working perfectly. So this was in fact all the stupid proxy nonsense they're running.

@tim@union.place this kind of nonsense (amongst many other kinds of nonsense) is why I broke down and set up tailscale with an exit node (well, three exit nodes for redundancy, but…) a few years ago. There’s so much bad filtering and stupid IP geolocation stuff going on places.
