In university, we were given an assignment to calculate our personal inflation with 20 products we were buying for a year. Turns out: 1. I don&#39;t buy that much, and have been buying less lately somehow. 2. All those data-hungry corporations can&#39;t even reliably tell you what you bought a year ago, despite actually collecting and probably storing all that data. And how do I do my assignment? I don&#39;t keep receipts...

@bouncepaw@merveilles.town я ради того, чтобы когда-нибудь сделать такие подсчёты, сканирую чеки в банковском приложении. Причём вроде как магазы могут банку их отправить, но почему-то делают это через раз. Приходится помогать трекать себя (:

@bouncepaw@merveilles.town i started keeping track of me moneys since the end of february using the ledger text format (ledger-cli.org) (and hledger as a program to check if i screwed up something and query it). it's quite weird, but i kinda like it. i'm really bad at keeping journals, but it seems i do better with numbers and tracking precise events.
