Before pervasive video surveillance all sorts of adventure was available to a person who had a habit of testing closed doors.

@lolcat@digipres.club oh hell most of the time I find the interesting buildings have no video surveillance, as they... just... didn't care one of the more interesting buildings I used to routinely wander in back in Miami had the remains of like four different generations of security systems in it and none of them worked. I intentionally did things to trigger as many sensors as I could (assuming any still worked and/or were monitored) and looking for later evidence of anyone checking the space. Nada!
