Have you noticed, in any story, they tend to mull over the part where a character tells someone that their loved one has died? I think that's about the hardest thing that a person ever has to do. It's so hard that they like to skip it over and diminish it, even for characters we're supposed to admire for their ability to do difficult things. I mean would you like to be the one who has to tell someone their daughter is dead? This is a weakness of fiction writers I mean to correct.
