@bodhipaksa@mastodon.scot and like many of these old Scottish and Burns songs, is perfectly mild despite its text (although did these words have double entendres back then?)
And of course many of Burns' poems and songs ARE very bawdy. We used to do an annual Burns Night which was a great source of merriment. I need to try and do one next year.

My favorite bawdy song by Burns is Gie the Lass Her Fairing, which ends: But coup her ower amang the creels, An bar the door wi baith yer heels, The mair she gets the less she squeels; An hey for houghmagandie. Brilliant!
