@concretedog@mastodon.social @emily_s@mastodon.me.uk ISO standards are based on myth and superstition. There are no 13mm fine threads allowed. They go in part or whole mm steps until 18mm, then step up by larger multiples of mm from then on. But they refused to include 13mm in the spec! ISO 724 - Metric Screw Threads (fine).

    @concretedog@mastodon.social @emily_s@mastodon.me.uk It's metric course threads that ISO724 only specifies even numbers of mm for nominal diameters above 5mm. Why, when fine threads are available on so many more sizes? It makes no sense. Someone should revoke their permission to use the metric system if they can't use it responsibly.
