@anildash@me.dm Again, lumping users of a technology in with people who have a history of systemic oppression is gross. I have been clear that people cannot see Firefox as the best for anti-AI if it centers AI users. The needs of the two groups of users are directly in conflict. And yes, as a company attempting to perform a public good (supposedly) they need to make a choice or separate the products. Live is often about decisions. Mozilla is making theirs which means their stated goal is impossible

@anildash@me.dm @reflex@retrogaming.social I think perhaps the problem that hasn't been articulated is not that the "lovers" are choosing "bad tools" in the sense of unreliable results, but rather that the negative externalities of the tools seem to outweigh their benefits, and it's the rest of us who have to bear all those costs. So yes, I will happily say it out loud - I want those users to not have the option to use "AI" in the ways that are currently being offered.
