During last week's class at Marist, I demonstrated how to download a file by entering a FTP URL into Windows File Explorer. They were aghast. As if I was showing them how to start a car with a hand crank. Standing up in the middle of the classroom taking photos of the screen with their phones, presumably to show their friends or post on social media with taglines like"This is how old my ancient GIS professor is".
