@RoseRaven@eldritch.cafe It took me about a week of trying again and again before the "update" finally "took". It's the worst thing about the steam deck. When it finally worked out, after much frustration, the device actually turned out to be really reliable and solid.
But dear deities, that initial update was pure horror.

@halla@kde.social @RoseRaven@eldritch.cafe yeah just want to second this -- there are a lot of good things to try in that reddit thread, including: - use 2.4GHz wifi instead of 5GHz wifi - use phone as hotspot - toggle wifi off and back on when update seems to "hang" good luck 🖤
