#Kagi & #Mojeek #search have actually transformed the internet for me. I'm encountering so many more in-depth, thoughtful human-written blog articles on every subject I search, as well as engaging with parts of the internet that are older than a few years old. It's such a richer experience than #Google provides in recent years, especially for #books discussions and engaging with minority religious voices and #disabled communities.

It's also making the ongoing loss of #Reddit & #Twitter so much less impactful for my information seeking by uncovering the long-standing but decentralized social web that's always been there but has been increasingly marginalized by #search algorithms that prioritize advertising revenue & corporate conversation fora. It doesn't make the fediverse searchable, but it highlights the similarities web 1.0 sources like #blogs & anorak sites had to the #fediverse already. #socialmedia #internet
