Forgive my ignorance. I know nothing about anything technical. I don't even know what Mastodon.cloud is. I am just on here, posting about moths. In other words, if I do nothing here on Mastodon.green will I lose everyone and everything on Mastodon?

Just panicked a bit as saw a post about de-federating with no explanation of what it meant for day-to-day users and wondered if I was about to lose all my followers and followees and what I need to do to not lose it all.
