@rootcompute@mastodon.social Agreed, and the perfect candidate for that in my mind is the Internet Archive. Like they don't even need to reinvent the wheel, there is already a service for it.

@digitalkrampus@mastodon.social @rootcompute@mastodon.social It could be perfect if those companies also would contribute financially to the Internet Archive then. Just a small fee or donations to keep the servers up and running would be enough and doesn't hurt the companies. But they could earn a little bit reputation with this move.
