"you only have n days left to tell the <some government agency> not to <do some fucked up thing>!!" hate to tell you this but it doesn't matter if every single human alive all sends in a strongly worded proofread letter on nice stationary opposing it. they're just going to do the fucked up thing. do not waste time and mental energy on this shit. especially not when it's coming from one of the resistance grifter types. just save that energy for when the fucked up thing happens because you're going to have to live under it no matter what. a way anxiety manifests itself is to make you obsess about shit like this and spread it around because it feels like *doing something about it* but all you're doing is exhausting yourself and if you're sharing it probably exhausting others. basically every social media / content website understands this and fuckin loves it because it turns people into an exploitable captive audience for all the usual horrors of capitalism. unfortunately, many years of being on twitter has permafucked a lot of peoples brains into full-on lost cause mode. please do not be one of them. and, if you are, please go to bluesky that's all that website is for afaict.
