Short review of @sarenaulibarri's #solarpunk novel "Another Life" First off: I liked this book quite a lot. It's short, ~150 pages. I was skeptical at the start when the book begun to explore the idea of "past lives" via science-washed occultism, but for all my deep atheism and antipathy to spiritualism, I will give it to her, that Sarena managed to use this feature of the story in an interesting manner that did not detract from the more solarpunk topics. Which was my initial fear. 1/4

The book has well-written characters (well, mostly - sometimes the characters go from 0 to 100 in their reactions, and it feels like an improbable overreaction /wo knowing more about the characters). The main character of the story is particularly well written. Though, for a short novel she also naturally gets the most flesh-out history. I suppose what flaws that exist mostly come down to how fast-paced the story is, and how small the book is. 2/4
