Sadly, I think it’s time to retire my #selfhosted #mail server. It’s been an interesting ride and I’ve learnt a lot. Unfortunately, I somehow managed to mess up my LUKS and I end up having to manually recover from initramfs after every kernel patch/upgrade, no matter how many times I fix it. Even leaving that aside, pretty soon, I’d need to migrate to a new server stack. On top of everything, the recent increases in VPS costs means it’s difficult to justify #selfhosting as opposed to a managed solution — especially when I factor in the cost of my time. Time to migrate 25 years of emails…
