While many of her aunts, uncles, and cousins are casual "Mayorites", which includes a resurrection cycle in its teachings, her parents had distanced themselves from the church before she was born. She's vaguely aware of resurrection as a concept, but finds the idea kind of dumb - who wants to be reborn as a agent of The Mayor anyway? Having had a near death experience, her views are of a much more final death, and nothing else.
