#WordWeavers 29: Empathy for other species? I haven't decided to what extent it will matter, but friendly intelligent aliens are known to the average citizen. There's lots of mutual empathy and goodwill between the species. For the main cast specifically, Viktor has a great love and respect for the few remaining wild animals on Tenalus. Jez likes and empathises with domesticated animals, but doesn't regularly interact with wild critters. And Tony loves his robots like children... close enough?
