As part of this Hub, we feature case studies from three initial labor partners detailing their strategies of resistance: National Nurses United, the New York Times Tech Guild, and the Ziff Davis Creators Guild. From these case studies, we learned about the diversity of tactics available to workers in the fight against AI at work and how these struggles are fundamentally tied to the broader fight for worker power, agency and dignity. https://labor.dair-institute.org/case-studies

@alex@dair-community.social @DAIR@dair-community.social Hopefully this guide will be used by some of the city and county governments that are talking out both sides of their mouth, banning AI data centers within their boundaries but spending taxpayer money on "AI tools" for their police & other departments and pushing employees to 'incorporate [LLMs] into their workflows'. Who do these NIMBYs expect to bear the costs of their trend-chasing AI usage?
