The Juniper you reference I assume is our Juniperus Virginiana / Eastern Red Cedar? It’s native here but evolved with fire which we have artificially suppressed so it can get out of hand.

@User47@vmst.io The indigene is Juniperus communis. It grows wild in the heath. Its fruits are taken for Gin. Ornamental varieties are mostly cultivars of Juniperus chinensis. They transmit pear rust. Here some columbines I didn't sow:
