Sure? That doesn’t mean it isn’t democratic, the will of the majority is represented. The CPC is extremely popular in China because they are an extremely competent organization.

And in America you get to choose between AIPAC approved candidates. I’m not aware of democracy in this purely ideologically perfect form every existing outside the thoughts of some Greek philosophers The who you get to choose between has always been curated whether by a vanguard party or established parties or foreign intelligence. Point to a time in history with democracy and I’m sure there’s a way to show how it wasn’t truly democracy by your purist standards
