Long story short, I got a Drumbeam because... Superbooth 2024, young entrepreneurs in Dresden, innovative controller, never used drum sticks before... Also, I had a vision that involved an almost retired Launchpad.
I bought the Drumbeam, the sticks, and some second-hand accessories. Yesterday I put everything together and started playing. So much fun!

Someone asked about the feeling of the Drumbeam's surface, and whether it was bouncing. The sticks bounce but I haven't played real drums nor drum pads, so I cannot compare. It feels robust, mechanical, natural. I ran a test, first grabbing each stick with only two fingers and letting them bounce as freely as I could. Then doing the same but exerting just a bit of force. Here is a screenshot where you can see the notes of the left and right hands (panned because why not) and the velocities.
