if i'm going to go to the trouble of actually sewing actual patches onto the rips and holes in these old unremarkable jeans, i want go hogwild and armor the fricken things so they never wear through again i'm thinking, strategically-placed nylon webbing where seams tend to rip, denim under something abrasion-resistant (waxed canvas?) at the knees and crotch but surely this not a new idea by far and somebody has posted their wikihow or something for it
