@MissGayle@urbanists.social Thank you for posting this. I couldn’t agree more. Every single Dem in the Virginia legislature voted for the so-called “assault weapons ban” which was signed by the Gov Spanberger last week. After July 1, essentially every firearm that is not mechanically operated is an assault weapon. Exactly as you say, the white suburban Dems are disarming people who most need protection, and doing so right before the fucking midterms. They must think that LE will protect them, which is so naive.

@lawyersgunsnmoney@mstdn.social I don't have any guns myself - I think those prepper dudes who imagine they can hold off the US Army confiscating all their prepped supplies are fairly stupid. But we need something. I just don't know what. So many dems still think they can just call the police and be protected, and that just isn't the case. And they need to understand that BEFORE they're in a situation...

There's a name for people who rely on police to protect them. They're called "victims." Police have no obligation to protect us. The Supreme Court agrees. See: Castle Rock v.
