@faoluin@chitter.xyz There's actually a sort of weird comradery Canadians and Australians have. They "get" certain things a lot of USians often don't. Like, until very recently, in Australia, the major highway between Brisbane and Sydney was, for long stretches, just one lane each way and would still go through tiny towns. Canadians I have spoken to also understand such an arrangement and have a similar understanding of distance and the dangers thereof :P
A lot of Americans THINK they know distance and remoteness but it may only be Alaska that truly has it.
They also have the same monarch, their money is worth a similar amount, they spell words like colour correctly, and yeah I've noticed they make similar jokes about being a backwards primitive country even though they're not lol.
