Lemmy is a FOSS, federated link aggregator that uses the ActivityPub protocol. Like Mastodon, anyone can set up a Lemmy instance and federate with other Lemmy instances, as well as Mastodon and Pleroma. I personally run the https://midwest.social instance and it wasn't too hard to set up.
