@sinabhfuil@mastodon.ie the fear mongering claim was you'd need to spend 1/3 of the value of the car every 3-5 years. Apparently not the case: most manufacturers warrant the battery for 8 years/100,000km now.

@Colman@mastodon.ie @sinabhfuil@mastodon.ie I bought my first EV last year. It’s a Kia EV3 and frankly it’s the best car I’ve ever owned. Although the fact that we had the previous car for 15 years may be colouring that.
