@xeophin@swiss.social We have a Windows computer in the @asvt@swiss.social clubhouse. We need it when we have a shooting competition (the software is ms access based). After six months, OneDrive was suddenly set up and all documents, downloads, etc. were in OneDrive. The person who did this cannot explain how it happened. Undone. The same thing after a few weeks. I then combed through all the settings and disabled things in Windows and MS Office that could be causing this.

@xeophin@swiss.social I understand not everybody can do this (for any number of reasons), but I've set up my own home server 6 years ago with minimal maintenance using #Yunohost. I have my own cloud storage (#Nextcloud, vastly superior to Dropbox) and a bunch of other web apps including the Fediverse instance from which I'm writing. We need to get out from under big tech's thumbs...
