i set aside a bit of my coffee this morning for an experiment (mixing equal parts coffee and lemonade). the resulting concoction was intriguing (coffee slightly subdued the acidity of the lemonade; lemonade pretty much entirely eliminated the bitterness of the coffee) but flawed (turns out when you mix a hot drink with a cold one you get something uncomfortably tepid; the flavor itself wasn't too bad, but could be improved with a more purposeful selection) i might try lemonade with iced coffee sometime, see how that is — but for now, i have accepted that lemonade is by no means a substitute for a good coffee creamer
