I wish people's default reaction to new info that challenges their previous knowledge was curiosity and compassion, not denial and/or confused, often irrational anger. I also wish people had to be educated further than the most simplified basics about sex vs gender. Naturally occurring, visually identifiable divergence from the binary is not new, nor that rare. Neither is the spectrum of intellectually self-conceived gender identity. Big sigh.
