@srgower@ottawa.place good one, yeah. I used to listen to a lot of radio in the 90s. How I first heard and found a lot of music. But through the years, less and less on there I could do.. guess I went mostly underground, etc. But I did it a ton of years - even in the 2000s, when I had cars with no tape or CD. For example, when I was in Florida, modern rock radio had already become kinda stale but I stuck to classic rock and the local techno station was really good. Or rap. 😂 but I count as an older person I suppose, being almost 50.

@jake4480@c.im Yeah I'm 42 and grew up on radio so it's never left for me. It definitely helps to work in the industry. But in 20 years I've seen a steady decline :( We used to bill hundreds of dollars and have waitlists for advertisers for one station, but now our rates are in the lower double-digits (unless you buy premium ad time), and we don't waitlist anything, we just add time/inventory.
