@rechelon@mastodon.social I suspect I can be guilty of this in my "sloppier" moments. Tentatively, I wonder if it's because capitalism is something that feels "easier" to attack, something a bit more solid, and something that (at least on the face of it), we deal with every day, whereas statism *feels* a little more nebulous? It's not *quite* that, and it's a poor excuse; I also suspect that such an excuse probably exposes me as being hugely privileged because I don't *feel* like I'm dealing with the state every day? Not sure I've made total sense, but I wonder if that's part of it.

    @neonsnake@kolektiva.social @rechelon@mastodon.social I think it’s because they can imagine a state without capitalism, or they think they can, but they can’t imagine a stateless society. I wonder what the Venn diagram is between those kind of people and people who think we should be aiming for something like the Soviet Union
