@DavidPenington@mastodon.au The more people know about the blockade, the more people will demand it to be lifted. The flotilla is bringing attention where governments and a lot of media are silent.

@Mabande@mastodon.social I don't see these silent media. I see extensive coverage in reasonable media that I see from Australia, but you are in a different country. Eg bbc : in a story about the Qatar killings & hostages also says "Netanyahu's plan to occupy Gaza City has drawn international criticism, with the UN warning a military escalation in an area where famine has been declared will push civilians into an "even deeper catastrophe"" In the statistics you quote, of 6,800 truck loads, 6400 got into Gaza (94%), but 85% of those loads did not make it to the agency site for their distribution process (some/much will have been siezed by crowds on the way). That's not a food blockade, but lots more loads of food would help a lot.
