@Mabande@mastodon.social I don't see these silent media. I see extensive coverage in reasonable media that I see from Australia, but you are in a different country. Eg bbc : in a story about the Qatar killings & hostages also says "Netanyahu's plan to occupy Gaza City has drawn international criticism, with the UN warning a military escalation in an area where famine has been declared will push civilians into an "even deeper catastrophe"" In the statistics you quote, of 6,800 truck loads, 6400 got into Gaza (94%), but 85% of those loads did not make it to the agency site for their distribution process (some/much will have been siezed by crowds on the way). That's not a food blockade, but lots more loads of food would help a lot.

@DavidPenington@mastodon.au The paragraph you quoted did not mention anything about aid deliveries. And don't conflate media being mostly silent with all media being silent all the time about all aspects. Also, how is it not a food blockade when the miniscule fraction (check the data again) allowed to enter is allowed nowhere near appropriate volumes nor the logistics to make it to the delivery spots? The evidence of a blockade is 1. the famine and 2. the tonnes of aid rotting at the borders.
