@nuwagaba2@mastodon.social Trump is obviously not a religious nor moral individual, so to the extent he invokes religion it is purely as a tool in my opinion. But that doesn't mean people can't find ways to defend unspeakable acts of cruelty in the name of religion if they want to. So I honestly don't know. US has a long history of doing this. And they're far from alone in it.
