The fact that I can run now on my laptop a model that even 1 year ago was considered cutting edge demonstrates exactly how fast the two major model makers need to unload their toxic assets of their companies stocks onto the open market so that they can get paid before they bust so very very hard.
This is not a "I told ya so". It's a "this was always inevitable".
But the damage has already been done.

The marketing of these products has stirred up so much fear in high places that there will be people both wanting them to be unregulated AND wanting them to only be available to those in high places. Yes, revel in the double irony. While at the same time, these tools will begin systematically changing what knowledge work even means and making it easy for even more sociopaths to rip off people. 4/
