But I will double down on this being even more of a dead end. Every month that goes by without the quantum leap in "intelligence" being proffered by the foundation models while gemma4 and qwen and other open weights models that also walk through their training approach is yet another nail in the coffin for the argument for closed source and closed training sets.
These things are not inherently dangerous. Not unless you made them with dangerous things.

The fact that I can run now on my laptop a model that even 1 year ago was considered cutting edge demonstrates exactly how fast the two major model makers need to unload their toxic assets of their companies stocks onto the open market so that they can get paid before they bust so very very hard. This is not a "I told ya so". It's a "this was always inevitable". But the damage has already been done. 3/
