impossible to know until you try. I'm really oily and have intermittent acne, yet can* use coconut or olive oil as a face moisturizer without it triggering additional acne. i don't understand it at all. in fact the best facial soap I've ever used is my hipster friend's soap he made in his apartment by saponifying just olive oil *I usually don't though cuz it feels gross lol
