The Guardian's Consumer Champions column features numerous examples of airlines doing everything they can to avoid refunding passengers affected by tragic circumstances. They can be so heartless.
Meanwhile, because our journey home from Stockholm last month was delayed due to a cancelled flight, Finnair has offered 500€ compensation. Spending 3.5 hours in Helsinki Airport made our entire return trip cost just 50€.
Seems slightly disproportionate tbh. But I’m not arguing.
