@bweller@mstdn.social @jf_718@mas.to Cars with actual drivers would have to pay out the nose if they pulled a fraction of this shit. Ever tried to get a car out of impound in San Francisco??? Parking and traffic tickets in SF is its own very special circle of hell, where you get charged hundreds for the privilege of having your vehicle stolen, more for each day they hold it hostage, and you can only get in to pick the thing up between the hours of 8 and 10 am, on Pier 29 or something a 20min drive away from the office that handles the paperwork and good fuckin luck FINDING a parking space there (at Market and Van Ness!! Come on!!), so if anything was wrong with your forms you will NOT have the time to make it there and back before it closes and you have to try another day (and it's not like people have jobs or anything) oh and there was that time I asked a parking person "so where is the hydrant zone here, nothing is marked on the curb" and they said "actually it isn't marked so I can't give a hydrant ticket here, I'm ticketing this guy for being over the 2hr limit" and I was like WAIT SO WHAT DID I JUST PAY AN $80 HYDRANT TICKET FOR THEN THEY JUST MAKE THIS SHIT UP AS THEY GO ALONG, all that shit.... But some fucking ROBOT CAR that barely knows its own ass from a pothole and just randomly obstructs intersections or honks at people all night just gets away with everything all the time. Because the right palms got greased, and laws only exist to torment the poor.
