Ever notice how the thumbnails for these sort of articles on mainstream news sites always feature a stock image of a worker, doing worker things, and never the images of the CEOs who are directly responsible for the decisions and political donations the companies have made? It ain't guy in a hi-vis best you need to be mad at.

@Rycochet@furs.social I remember a lot of technology news reporting from early 2000s. "US gov/some US state introduces a completely boneheaded tech law" and the illustration is a smiling politician in a suit in front of a flag. All that was missing from the caption were the words "the guy responsible for all this silliness". ...maybe we should do the same thing about boneheaded things companies do, too. Just the pic of the CEO. Not just, you know, random shots from the factory or exterior shots of the oppressive corporate HQ.
