@kgjenkins@mapstodon.space @jeremy@mapstodon.space yes, there's 7 on the Cheviot + a few more on neighbouring hills. There's a beautiful memorial to them in the College Valley. The most notable is a 1944 crash, which came down at night in a blizzard. 3 shepherds and their dog Sheila immediately went to help, the dog finding 4 survivors, and awarded the Dicken medal as a result.
