@fatsam@mstdn.social yeah, if civilization collapses, the one thing that will most definitely not be viable is hunting for food.
8 billion people suddenly needing to 'live off the land' nets only mass die offs for the scarce prey and the wildly over numbered humans.
The only survivors will be ppl who have years of food stored up, a defensive capacity that can repel military tanks, fresh water *production*, and dozens of other things/skills/abilities.
In other words, nobody. Survivors will be random luck among ppl with a subset of above.
