Do I love this change? Fuck no. No one wants to have to pay for more things...but if the choice is "developers stop making updates" or "You choose if you WANT to update", I think the later is better.

You can't really live with one foot in a capitalist society and one in a not-for-profit one. The strains of the two will constantly push and pull, and, like it or not, the capitalist part controls if you eat and have a roof over your head for most of us.
