At any rate, starvation is an existential risk, a 1-2C rise is not. HadCRUT 5.1 is a collaborative, gridded global temperature dataset produced by the Met Office Hadley Centre and the University of East Anglia’s Climatic Research Unit (CRU). It combines land surface air temperatures (CRUTEM5) with sea surface temperatures (HadSST4) to create a comprehensive record of global temperature anomalies since 1850. The land portion of these sources have long been criticized as not being representative as many are in known heat islands. Even so windmills and solar panels won't replace the baseload power or quantity that we need, real power sources are required to address both global warming and starvation. These require an industrial base which current policies are destroying.
