"yeesh, i'd forgotten how long it takes to do things without AI" - one of my undergrads on making a poster for a symposium it was so hard to hide my furious rage at this, i can't fucking believe our university subsidizes student accounts for ChatGPT i can understand companies doing it, because all they care about is having some shit to point to as a "finished" product but a university? the literal place where you're meant to learn how to do things?? just unconscionable we're still reeling from the educational (and social) setback students experienced for the sake of their health during the covid shutdowns and now this fresh hell god i hate how much of Seattle is held in thrall of and hostage by tech billionaire ideology
