@ljwrites@writeout.ink hahahaha yeah well we're pretty far out from that happening in my lifetime, unfortunately for me. but also, I can't imagine people will stop procreating, it may just be on a totally different timeframe, so I expect there will forever be this division in opinions. it's another thing I've seen good exploration of in fiction, characters who chased immortality and then after living it for a few centuries / millenium drastically changed their minds. all very fascinating!

@tessaracht@kitty.town Kind of unfortunate for me, too, because I won't have the boasting rights of being metal enough to choose death when I have the option to live forever lmao. Immortals whose children can choose mortality sounds like a pretty fraught situation tho, like they say no parent should have to bury a child and imagine a child choosing to grow old and die when the parent is still young and have forever to remember & mourn them 💔
