@Klepsis@indieauthors.social As in, The Broken Earth trilogy by N.K. Jemisin? I've read all 3 books cover to cover and neither of what might be called elderly character PoV parts (Alabaster and Schaffa) involves the effect I talked about. Perhaps I was not quite understanding what you were pointing out.
