If you try to connect a BSP fitting to a metric one, you either strip one of the threads or end up with a leaky connection.

@jamesb@fedi.duckduckpigeon.co.uk @edavies@functional.cafe @StarkRG@myside-yourside.net @katemorley@hachyderm.io Strangely enough, some Chinese manufacturers still use BSP fittings. I had an inflatable hot tub with 1" BSP pipe fittings. The metric equivalent 25mm did sort of fit, but leaked.
