@slipgate@shitpost.cloud @CaptainButthurt@poa.st biggest problem to me was that Google maps won't work not even in the browser lol. But the maps app /e/OS ships seems to work well enough...

@teto@cawfee.club @CaptainButthurt@poa.st Yeah, luckily all my shit works on a ROM. If the maps bother you too much, the goycattle option of "improved geolocation" (towers, Wi-Fi hotspots and all that shit) is there. I don't have an opinion on OsmAnd as I haven't used it.

I just want essentially a non android core device really. Something that some mega Corp hasn't touched whatsoever. I use a Linux KDE machine as my personal pc. I'm not opposed to a totally new OS. Just as long as it just doesn't die off like many previous projects.
