Nio statue of the Nio-mon of Matsuoyama Bunpo-ji, Tamba Sasayama, #Japan. Designated as a tangible cultural property of the city. The Nio-mon Gate, which is the Bunpozan Romon Gate, was built in 1385 to imitate the Kencho-ji Romon in #Kamakura, and was destroyed by Mitsuhide Akechi's attack on Tanba from 1575 to 1579 during the Tensho period. #BuddhistArt #Buddhism
